This four months old child has a heart problem. His father is an agriculture worker hardly earns 4000 rupees a month. They have come from Sasaram District of Bihar. The child has been referred to Fortis Escort Heart Institute for free treatment under EWS category.

Poor patients in this country are in great trouble. They cannot afford private hospitals. Govt hospitals though helping a lot but are generally ill equipped to address the issue.

We cannot and should not  compromise with the quality education. If Govt can have space for metro, it can have for schools also. AAP Govt has promised for 500 new Govt schools.
A Testing Time For The AAP Govt - Admission linked donation in unaided schools - DoE has issued a usual circular asking all private schools to stop taking donation for seats in their institutions. It is nothing but a ritual one. Every one knows schools are taking huge money as donation at the time of admission of children in schools. Some schools take between 3 to 15 lacs per child. Crores of rupees is generated as black money by these schools. Where Income Authories are sleeping despite 2010 CAG report on 25 schools indicting most of them? AAP party Govt must arrange raids on the schools and get the illegally charged donation returned to the hapless parents.

5 top things AAP Govt in Delhi should do to improve education in Govt schools

1. Bring all Govt and Local Bodies schools under one umbrella of Delhi Govt.

2. School education completely free.

3. Abolish discriminatory public funded school system and bring all of them at equal footing by raising education standard to the minimum level of RPVV (Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya)

4. Convert all double shift schools into single shift schools and preferably into single shift co-ed schools.

5. Ban all forms of child labour and bring all school age out of school children including children with disabilities in full time Govt schools.
