The State Government’s petition comes close on the heels of an appeal moved by a non-government organisation, Social Jurist, which contended that the schools could not claim autonomy in the matter of admission of children. It raised objection to the Court’s rejection of the points system for students.

बढ़ी फीस वापस कराने का आदेश
छठे वेतन आयोग के लागू होने के बाद स्कूलों ने फीस बढ़ा दी थी और कहा था कि उन्हें टीचरों की पेमेंट आदि के कारण अतिरिक्त बोझ पड़ रहा है, लिहाजा फीस बढ़ानी होगी। इसके बाद सोशल जूरिस्ट की ओर से एडवोकेट अशोक अग्रवाल ने अर्जी दाखिल कर कहा था कि स्कूलों ने मनमाने तरीके से फीस बढ़ाई है। हाई कोर्ट ने अगस्त, 2011 में कमिटी का गठन किया और आदेश दिया कि स्कूलों के अकाउंट का ऑडिट किया जाए ताकि यह पता चले कि कितनी फीस बढ़ानी जरूरी है।

स्कूलों को बाल अधिकार की जानकारी दे रहा है आयोग
यदि बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग स्कूलों में बाल अधिकार से जुड़ी जानकारी दे रहा है तो यह सराहनीय कदम है लेकिन सवाल यह है कि अब तक स्कूलों में जागरूकता क्यों नहीं आई। क्या बच्चों के अधिकार के बारे में शिक्षकों की कोई कार्यशाला होती है। यदि बच्चों के अधिकारों का हनन हो रहा है तो संबंधित विभाग आगे आकर कार्रवाई क्यों नहीं करता है।

फीस वापस करने के मामले में मांगी स्थिति रिपोर्ट
इस मामले में अवकाश प्राप्त जस्टिस अनिल देव सिंह कमेटी ने अपनी सातवीं रिपोर्ट हाईकोर्ट में गत सप्ताह पेश की थी। इस तरह से अब तक करीब 441 स्कूलों को करीब दो सौ करोड़ रपए अभिभावकों को बढ़ी फीस लेने के चलते ब्याज सहित वापस करने होंगे। इस मामले में सोशल ज्यूरिस्ट संस्था के सलाहकार एडवोकेट अशोक अग्रवाल ने अनुचित फीस वापस करने की मांग करते हुए अभिभावकों की तरफ से याचिका दायर की थी।
